The Land of Milk and Honey
The Land of Milk and Honey provides a basic introduction to the geographical world of biblical Israel. Following a general introduction to the Promised Land, this publication dedicates ten chapters to a discussion of seventeen geographic sub-regions of biblical Israel. These chapters overview each region, considering its: geology, topography, natural resources, and distinctive cultural response. The chapter then illustrates the way in which the geography of that sub-region shapes and participates in the Bible events hosted within it.
The book concludes with chapters dedicated to the broad geographical realities of ancient Israel, addressing the matters of hydrology and climate, urbanization, road systems, and ancient travel.
